About Yourself:	Vicki is the Educator and Creative Director for Soft Scrap® ... and morellc. She has been sewing and quilting all her life as well as teaching sewing techniques at all levels from children to adults. Vicki’s background includes clothing design and construction, wearable art, bridal wear, Home Dec and quilting. She has a background in both education and art. The idea for Soft Scrap® came from an early desire to incorporate photographs into her projects. When she first started experimenting with photo transfer techniques over 15 years ago the technology wasn’t there. Today you can achieve professional photo quality results with your home inkjet printer. These advances in technology led to her initial work on Soft Scrap® but she wanted to take it a step farther by developing a process that used the creative techniques of scrapbooking and combining frabric with fun, easy sewing techniques. Working together, she and Mike developed the Soft Scrap® process that makes working with fabric as easy as working with paper and uses many of the tools and techniques familiar to scrap bookers. Together they have shared their knowledge and Vicki’s love of sewing and Mike’s love of photography through their internet business and through Quilt shows, classes and magazine articles.
